Your Insurance Claim Has Been Denied So What Happens Now

Insurance Claim Denied

We hear stories of denied claims far too often, and only wish we had been there to assist with the first adjuster evaluation, but please do not lose hope -- we know exactly what to do next.

Having been involved in thousands of claims over the past several years, it's almost become a game with some of the insurance carriers -- they deny the claims, then we get involved to assist a homeowner, and amazingly a high percentage of these claims are approved and paid - for an amount that makes sense, and is in keeping with the insurance policy that the homeowner purchased.

One recent claim comes to mind - a Billion $$$ insurance company had denied a roof claim in west Mobile for a homeowner that had been paying premiums for over 50 years and had never filed a single claim against his homeowners' coverage.

All the first adjuster said as he was leaving - you have an old roof, and it's just "normal wear and tear, so I am not approving your claim."

Please be assured, after years of accepting premium payments, policyholders deserve to know WHY a claim was denied (in writing), and never be treated as if their claim filing was a bother.

Thankfully, this homeowner had seen a few of our yard signs in her area, so she called and asked if we would come by and inspect her roof and went on to tell us about her recent experience with an adjuster.

A few days later, we met a different adjuster at her home, he walked the roof with us, agreed that what we had pointed out to him was consistent with hail damage, so he approved replacing the entire roof!

There are no guarantees that we can offer, but what we can offer is our experience from having assisted with thousands of claims, and knowing the (unwritten) basis for approval from each of the scores of insurance carriers in Alabama.

One final comment on homeowners claims and dealing with adjusters that work for multi-billion dollar insurance companies - please do not attempt to settle a roofing claim by yourself unless you have a working knowledge of the roofing business, understand the intentionally complex claims handling process and have lots of free time to manage your claim from start-to-finish over a period of 3-4 months, and sometimes longer.

All Weather offers this as a no-cost service, we just want to build your new roof, nothing more.
