CompanyCam - More Than Just Photos

Construction techniques and ever-improving materials have changed the business from a few saw-horses and a tape measure to the use of seriously advanced technology using Augmented Reality (AR)   This is why everyone that has viewed or used this technology cannot ever return to "how we used to do it."

Forget that their headquarters is in Nebraska, home of the mighty Cornhuskers.    Obviously, they know much more about high-tech systems and technology-assisted programs than they do about football.

Let's look back for just a few minutes -

Do you remember this camera, Polaroid Brownie?    It was amazing technology when introduced, but the photographs were not always the best.

Customers wanted something easier, and wanted to see the photographs quickly!   Introducing the Polaroid Land Camera!

Print the photos as you take them.    "What will they think of next?" was a frequent comment the first time many of us used a Land Camera.

Fast-forward to today and you can use a 7-Megapixel I-Phone that takes perfect photos that you can download, send, print, or whatever you want to do with them.

But, what if you wanted to share photographs with others at work?   You have to select each photo and text or email them to others and try to remember exactly where you took the photo - that can be challenging.

This truly amazing technology from CompanyCam is an absolute must for every contractor, architect, home inspection company, insurance companies - actually anyone that takes photographs and needs to store and must track the location of every photograph taken.

Using GPS technology, CompanyCam photographs are moved to the appropriate file (by address) and then everyone that is on the same account will find their photographs in the very same file.

No more searching for photos - you can add the customer's name, or simply refer to the street address to find the photos you and anyone else took at the same address last week, last year, or for as long as you have been on the network.

Think of all the other benefits of having unlimited cloud-based storage - from home inventory photographs (recommended by your homeowner's insurance carrier) to sharing photographs with your friends and family that are using the system.

This is how we use it at All Weather Roofing - from the first day we survey a prospective customer's home until the days after we complete the project, we have dozens and dozens of photographs taken by six-eight people that are involved in the project.

Photos can be packaged into a job-specific photo booklet that is provided to our customers, copied to the inspections personnel from the city/county, and shared with the insurance carrier that PAID FOR THE ROOF!    Afterall, they pay for most, if not all, of the roofs we install, so they deserve a photo album for their records.

My favorite part of the CompanyCam system is the Project Timeline feature that enables us to keep our out-of-town customers informed of our progress without having to call us, or us having to send photographs via email.     Be sure to check this out on the CompanyCam site.
